Gerard graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Civil Law degree in 1975, and commenced his training as a solicitor, qualifying in 1978. He joined the firm in 1979 becoming a partner in 1982.
Gerard is now a consultant in the firm applying his experience gained over more than 40 years in legal practice.
Gerard has a wide range of experience of dealing with many areas of legal work including conveyancing, landlord and tenant, company law, licensing, probate law, planning law, property taxes and general litigation. His many years of experience have given him a very knowledgeable and practical approach to dealing with legal matters.
In the last twenty years, Gerard has specialised in all aspects of property law. He has advised a broad range of clients in relation to their property requirements. He has extensive experience in relation to residential and commercial developments from the acquisition stage of development land through all the property and banking security issues that arise in such transactions.
